When I got to work today, they basically said "Who the hell are you?" and then told me to go home... So essentially I've wasted 3 and a half hours of my life for nothing.
My parents said if I worked today, I didn't have to work during the weekend, (oh gee, thanks) but since they didn't actually need me today, the moment I get asked if I can work on Saturday, I suddendly have no-choice again...
Stay turned folks, I'm sure there'll more moaning torromow...

I woke up at 5:30am, went to a factory to stack hundreds of 11kg catalogues, my back is hurting and then I get denied the basic thing that I'd need to feel better. Sleep.
And I wont even get into the reason why I'm sad, its just too much to say.

I now have the battlesystem in a state where I need to actually create an item object instead of just doing:-
var Herb = { cost: 30, name: "Herb", desc: "Cures stuff.", amount: 1 };
I need things like item.onUseInBattle(onWho) now, but luckily, in this battlesystem I wont be saying:- AddItemToCommandList(item, attackee, target), etc... Thats ugly...
Hmm, this battlesystem is really menu orientated, so far. And using RenderBattle() is just a really lazy effiecent way of being lazy.
entity.render() this time round, will probably have a case switch inside, and do something like this:-

Today, as I sat around thinking about how to do multi-selection attacks in a battlesystem, I thought...
"Huh? My menu object doesn't do multi-selection stuff? That sucks!" -- So now my menu has multi-sectional stuff coded into it...
... I'm sorry, were you expecting another rant? Tsk, tsk.. You expect too much of poor old me...
But luckily for you, your expectations are met!

I made another rant, soley for the reason that the last one made me feel better about stuff, but geeze, my parents made it out as if they were doing me a favor by letting me stay home today...
Some favor, shout at me for "a while", because word crashes when it attempts to print, then threatens to get rid of my pc if I don't fix it? (Get rid meaning banning me, meaning if something goes wrong she'd be up the creek without even a cocktail stick for a paddle...) All this for a church magazine? Today my mum gave me enough stuff to complain about to make a whole other rant about how I hate her.
Things like saying "Where are you going now?" in a real quick non-loud scream voice, that makes me think something along the lines of "Out the nearest window; damn ground floor.."
"Sigh" is all I can say. *Borrows his friends' imaginary shotgun and shoots his whole family*

I was thinking recently about things I want to do for this site, and essentially, I came up with this....
I'd make a stylesheet, with a plain looking base-rpg town, then some JavaScript would interact with the page, add random houses and tree's, then maybe a sprite or a sign post or two... All throughout the page...
Place dynamically down and edit the Z-layer and I'm done with a neat stylesheet... Now if only I didn't have to goto work torromow, I could make that! 
Also I should make a "rants" section, so my "I hate my parents" news-updates can become much more offical.

They're making me work, again! I don't want to!!! They make me go to work with some spotty glass-wearing girl, thats younger than me, from on my street.

Actually, it was.. everytime I tried the command /server irc.woot.net:6667 it would send a raw command to espers server and they'd have flashing lights beeping at them, which started to annoy the irc operators...
Oh well, I fixed it, I think... but making a irc client from within sphere isn't a good idea, lol, well duh! :)

Anyway, I have a functional irc client built within Sphere now... I know fenix made one ages ago, but now I have... and I understand network code stuff, so I made the doc...
Now I'm just waiting for the next engine release so my "Jukebox" code will work....

I'd like to take a moment to apologise for not updating my other pages very often.
You see, I don't get very much feed back on what people think of this site, anyway, <rant>I had a really annoying day at work today, at one point when the machine I was working at broke down, I took the opportunity to construct a small chair out of small crates, when the boss saw my small chair-like creation, he didn't seem to mind... Thus, soon I built it into a small "fort of a chair", so that I wouldn't have to get up off my legs, at all. Then they moved me, damn it!</rant> Heh...

I started to work on my battlesystem, and actually, its really simple... The way I have it figured is that it will be menu based... Well, duh.
Each menu will just throw control to another menu, and each menu will RenderBattle() (or something) and check for set things, like HasBattleEndedYet() and things like that, I guess.

Its pretty neat now... you get to switch from one windowstyle to another, change the pointer, text, and all that jazz...
So progess report... Saveslots: done, Music : done, First town tileset, almost done (well done akumapan), customisable fonts, windowstyles, pointers, etc... done.

Ok, I read Darklich journal, which rocks!
I learnt that the 13th of any month is most likely to fall on a Friday since sometime 1800's, and I started working on making "our" game have tile-movement...
Then I coverted my Less Than Jake albums that I got on Wednesday into mp3 (2 for 1, by the way), I did nothing much for a while, then kicked someone from #sphere due to popular demand...
At school I did work for one hour, idled for 1 hour (during class) then went to "Computer Studies" and learnt about LANs (Counter-Strike LAN games to be exact)... learn or die?
I got left at the bus stop with someone that doesn't talk much and I tried to maintain a conversation but it was way too difficult for me..
And now I start a 4 day weekend.. somehow I feel I've actually acomplished something today.

My brain really does suck...
I started working on using rawfiles in Sphere to generally, create a system of saving some dynamic code...
It would have been useful for save game slots, a thing that I've tried to do in the past and failed...
I could have done something like:- for(i in slot)... where slot was an object of things you wanted to remember, like slot.currentmap and slot.currentswordequipped, etc...
Also, my previous plan of having save game files like "1.dat" (or whatever) also has failed.
Sphere can't copy the contents of a file to another, so I wouldn't be able to make copy and delete buttons on the "select game screen", which would just suck.

I thought that last week was study leave, so I didn't go, turns out I skipped a whole week of school... go me!
Anyway, I converted my favorites into html and thus:- favorites was born.

My parents are stupid! When printing in MS Word 2000 it crashes.... saying "winword died" or something just as annoying...
My Dad now wants me to "fix the printer", and my mum wants to know what winword is, heh.
The main thing I hate though... the fact that everything must be my fault! I don't use stupid Word, why would it be my fault for it crashing?
E-mail me! My inbox looks like I'm unpopular...

My scanner now works.... Hehe, I would tell my parents its fixed, but I'm just going to pretend its magically fixed torromow...
Anyway, my exams rock! I have two exams in the morning, then I play soccer for an hour or more. Okay, I'm unfit and almost die from exhaustion. But when they picked teams today, I got picked first!
It must be my extreme passing skills (I can't score a goal yet!)

My parents are stupid... Recently my scanner starting saying that "Another Application is Currently Using the Scanner" which is pretty much a lie.
My mom wants to scan in some lame newspaper article and a religious picture of some sort for some Church newsletter or whatever.
After poking the computer for a while I found that the "Parallel SCSI Adapter" had a little yellow circled "!" next to in in the device manager... Well, me being a man of few words explained this as:- "The scanner isn't working" and my explanation of why it isn't working was "I don't know".
So I updated the EPST or whatever it was, or atleast I think I updated it... And so now I can actually access the scanner, although it makes a funny noise when using it, and doesn't actually scan.
In steps my Dad, saying that if I don't fix it I'll get banned from using the PC and only my mom will use it...
(Now, ofcourse, I never use the scanner, so it couldn't be me that broke it... so the blame falls squarely at my mom... yeah, clever one Dad...)
Anyhow, my Dad keeps refering to PC's like car's (my Dad's a mechanic) but using PC's in any way shape or form for me is just a hobbie, fixing cars is my Dad's job... so he shouldn't expect me to know how to fix anything and everything...
He had years of training for fixing cars, I haven't had any training for PC's so I don't quite see how they relate....
So have I fixed it yet? (you may be wondering...) Well, nope. I decided to take a break and update my news page... and generally rant about how stupid my parents are... hehe, my mom seriously can't just use "Word" for more than half an hour, without yelling my name for help...
So the moral of the story? Send your parents off to a nursing home! (Yeah!)
