Quick Intro to this document...
I get kind of fed up when people don't like the kind of music I listen to... because you know they haven't listened to it themselves, poor ingorant fools...
<sunny_sally~Sally:Norville> <--is reading your music page:>
<sunny_sally~Sally:Norville> <--is going to d/l some of your suggested songs if she doesnt already have them
<Flik9x> ^_^
<Flik9x> That's the idea :)

Also, if you're reading this and like the bands, let me know! Comments, feedback, etc are welcomed.
Perhaps you know of a band that I don't that you think I'd like, or you found a band you now like from this page, whichever, I'd be interested to hear about it.

Changelog...
2004-02-15: I added a few bands.
2008-03-04: I added a few more bands.

Bad Religion
A punk rock band, that aegis would surely recommend... Cool songs from "American Jesus" to "You" which was on Tony Hawks 2...

Millencolin
A swedish band, "No Cigar", "Stop To Think", "Pengiuns & Polarbears" just to name a few good songs... "No Cigar" just happened to be on Tony Hawks 2...

The Ataris
A cool band, you'd think there's only so many songs about girls and love that you can make... but this band does well at that...
To recommend a song or two.. "Bad Case Of Broken Heart", and "San Dimas Highschool Football Rules" (both of these are available in acoustic aswell if you look for them) and the latter is their anthem song which they let members of the crowd (of a gig) play along to on stage if they know the riffs...

No Use For A Name
NUFAN have some really cool songs... "6 Degrees From Misty" from the More Betterness album and "Invincble" from the Making Friends album...

Refreshments
Most people probably first heard of this band when watching Kill Of The Hill... Because they made the theme tune to that...
"The World Is Full Of Stupid People", "Preacher's Daughter" and "Girly" are good... The theme tune btw, is called "yahoos and triangles" mainly because that's what the theme song is made from!

Incubus
I first heard of Incubus when I downloaded "The Warmth" because winamp had a review of the lyrics...
They thought it was cool and I thought it was cool... "Pardon Me" and "Drive" are pretty good aswell...

Nine Inch Nails
NIN would be Seramar's recommendation of a band...
The first few NIN songs I heard was "Close", "Sin" and "Into The Void"...

NOFX
A very witty band indeed... "So Long, Thanks For All The Shoes" being an album title of theirs...
One of my favorite songs by NOFX is "What's the Matter With Parents Today", which is rumoured to be on Tony Hawks 3...
Ofcourse they have a huge song called "The Decline" which is around 18 mins...

Less Than Jake
To be honest, I only brought the Less Than Jake album because it was a two album in one combo... But it's catchy, and there are some songs that I can really relate to..
"Al's War" for example... but for the average person, "All My Best Friends Are Metalheads" is probably a good starter...

Guttermouth
To simply quote NOFX... "Guttermouth is a really good band..." songs like "lipstick" will never die as far as I'm concerned...
I listen to that song almost everytime I get annoyed by my family... Also check out the crazy banjo in "I'm Destroying The World"

Reel Big Fish
Any band that is confident enough to release an album called "Keep the Receipt" can't be all that bad.. And "Beer Song" proves them be damn good.

Alkaline Trio
My favorite Alkaline Trio song just has to be "Another Innocent Girl"... I think it's about stalking, but I'm not sure.. "Can't go outside when it's raining, can't smash up that beautiful face... Another innocent girl, just made his list..."

Fenix Tx
I heard of Fenix Tx because one of their songs had a title about a girl... "Katie W"..
"Speechless" is pretty good too...

Third Try
I downloaded a song by Fenix Tx, which turned out to be a Third Try song... I would have been pretty annoyed... but the Third Try song actually turned out to be pretty good...
"I'm Outside" :: lyric quote :: "You told the cops I tried to kill you, it was nothing of the sort... I said I'd see you tomorrow, you said you'd see me in court..."

The Cure
This band were around in the 80's... With some pretty cool songs...
"Lovesong" and "Just Like Heaven" for examples...

Jimmy Eat World
Check out "Sweetness" "Bleed American" and "Your Houses" by Jimmy Eat World...

Antifreeze
This bands album (Four Letter Words) is all about such four letter words like "Love", "Hope" and "Hate"...
Check out "The Ides" and "Is He Your Boyfriend?"

Pennywise
Look out for "My God", "F*** Authority" and "Divine Intervention".

Modest Mouse
A cool indie rock band, "Bankrupt On Selling" or a more lighthearted "Paper Thin Walls"

Death Cab For Cutie
A cool emo band... Drinking "Champagne From A Paper Cup" is never quite the same and "Company Calls"

Mindless Self Indulgence
Another, there's a good chance you won't like them kind of band. But cool.
Any song from the Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy album is a good place to start, but "Seven-Eleven" "Clarissa" and "Backmask"
I also find it amusing that backmask, played normally says things like "kill everyone you love" but play it backwards it says things like "clean your room, do your homework"

They Might Be Giants
They're the band that does the Malcom In The Middle themesong (if that show means nothing to you, nevermind)
They've done an album for the entire family "No!" (cool concept from a band) but you probably want the normal songs to start with...
"Youth Culture Killed My Dog" and "Number Three"
Don't forget to check out songs like "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" and "They Might Be Giants"
Sadly, John and John don't seem to be giants in the music world.

Midtown
Any song from the "Living Well Is The Best Revenge" album would do, but here's something to start with... "Get It Together" and "In The Songs"

Harvey Danger
They released an album for download via their website. Try "Wine, Women and Song" or "Cool James" for starters

Northern State
Girl rappers sort of like the Beastie Boys but they're girls. Try any song from "Can I Keep This Pen?" or any song from "Dying In Stereo".
I particularly like to run along to "Mic Tester" and "Suck A Mofo"

Pedro The Lion
Fairly standard rock music but I like it.
Try "Big Trucks" or "Bad Diary Days".

Ingrid Michaelson
A pretty good singer/songwriter and she has a cool name - Ingrid.
Try "Die Alone" or "Masochist" but the album "Girls And Boys" helds up quite well in general...

Jack Penate
I like this guy's music. Fairly upbeat pop/rock music is always good.
Try "Got My Favourite" (which is good to run along to) or "Learning Lines".

The Long Winters
A fairly good description of this band is that they put more effort into their verses rather than their choruses.
So the chorus isn't what makes this band great. It's the verses.
I think "Hindsight" is great. The peak moment in that song (you'll know what I mean by that when you hear the song) is awesome.
The "Putting The Days To Bed" album is a well worthwhile album to get though. I think it was produced by Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie fame.

The Decemberists
Another album that I think Chris Walla helped produce. So the sound quality is great.
The album starts off with "The Crane Wife 3" and goes along a similar theme all the way to "Songa And Daughters".
I think the album as a whole "just works" somehow.

Tegan And Sara
And yet another another album that I think Chris Walla helped produce again.
A girl guitar duo. Also Candianian.
I really like "Nineteen" from the album "The Con".

Comments?
