Do More With Less Sphere Contest

Rules

-One script file, 1kb max size. 512bytes if game uses the map engine.

-2 maps max (if using the map engine), with a map size of 20x20 max, and 16x16 tile size max, 16 tiles a map max. (On entering map and entity scripts are considerd part of the main script, so no using them to cram extra data in)

-No more than 100kb of images (spritesets are considerd images) and another 100kb of sounds/music. You can use one font and window style regardless of size, but no cramming non-font/window stuff in them (ie, cramming all of your graphics into the font)

-No system scripts, or any other pre-made scripts.

-No using files (raw or otherwise) to cram extra code

The contest begins NOW, and ends the 21st. E-mail your entrys to spherecompo56@yahoo.com

Games will be uploaded and posted here courtesy of Flikky.

After the compo ends you'll be given until the 25th to vote in a thread I will start in the sphere.sf.net forums, even if you didn't participate you may vote for your favorite 3 entrys.

Multiple entrys are allowed, you may have any size of team you want. Entrys that go over said limits will be penalized based on how far over they are. You can ask any questions about the contest to the e-mail address or ask SDHawk on irc.esper.net #sphere

An arcade classic clone of Racer brought to the Sphere platform. Grab the flags, avoid the bad cars. Lay a smokescreen with space. Its badly written code, but it has code you could use to create a pac-man game.

It features: -continous moving of mainchar (nibbly/pacman) -Grabable, animated objects (made easy!) -very ugly chase algorithm -an oldstyle scroll text intro -highscore example note: If you have problems downloading the file, use IExplorer and download it from the webpage

So I was bored yesterday so I made a new simple, poorly coded, game.

Features:
-Simple, yet sort of fun game that was made in 4hrs or so
-15 Levels
-Built-in level editor
-Stuff

KR Demo Update

The KR demo was updated recently, fixing some minor and major issues. There's also a variety of new features including a few SFX and funner controls.. Click MORE for the new stuff. Go to the KR website for the download link. Also stay tuned for the next release (in a few months) which will be ten times greater than this one!
